Maqrsyangdi River


Marshyangdi (or Marsyangdi) is a mountain river in Nepal. Approximate length is 150 km. Marshyangdi is a tributary of Trishuli.
Marshyangdi starts from a confluence of two mountain rivers — Khangsar Khola and Jharsang Khola, that is located at north-west of the Annapurna massif at altitude about 3600 meters above the sea level near Manang village. Marshyangdi flows eastward through the territory of Manang district and then southward through the territory of Lamjung district. Finally it merges with Trishuli River.

There are two Hydro Power Projects in Marsyangdi River, one in Abu Khaireni and other in Udipur Lamjung. More Hydro Power Projects are under construction.

Beshishahar Lamjung


Besisahar is the capital of Lamjung District in Gandaki Zone, Nepal. It is a start point of famous Annapurna Circuit tourist route.
Besisahar is the district headquarter, of Lamjung  covers an area of 1,692 km² and has a population (2001) of 177,149. Lamjung mainly consists of agricultural villages.
